Nathalie Caris

Teacher, National Ballet Academy, Amsterdam & International Guest Teacher

Nathalie joined the National Ballet Academy as classical and repertoire teacher in 2010.

She graduated from National Ballet School of Canada in 1980 and completed with honours the Cechetti method examinations. She joined Het Nationale Ballet in 1980 and was promoted principal dancer in 1987.

Nathalie danced all principal roles of the company’s classical and contemporary repertoire including choreographies from Balanchine, Van Manen, Forsythe and Pastor.

During her career she has won several international awards. Nathalie was assistant ballet master and teacher at Het Nationale Ballet between 2005 and 2008 and was a guest teacher with Ottawa School of Dance, Scapino Rotterdam and Dansgroep Amsterdam.
